Due to climate change, the agricultural sector in The Gambia is under severe pressure. Many young people are leaving rural areas and often embarking on dangerous migration routes toward Europe.
At the Dalaba Climate Resilient Sustainable Agriculture Training Centre, a new opportunity is planted every day.
Dalaba is now a true model of rural resilience: it provides young people with the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need to learn how to farm sustainably, care for animals, and turn small skills into real entrepreneurial activities.
For every new agricultural enterprise, an entire community begins to change.
Supporting this project requires ongoing commitment. With your contribution, we can:
- Expand training in climate-resilient sustainable agriculture
- Support more women and girls who are excluded from the education system
- Help launch new enterprises through professional training, seed capital, and ongoing mentoring
- Build a dormitory to host young people from remote areas
