{"id":3429,"date":"2025-05-23T18:44:40","date_gmt":"2025-05-23T16:44:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionaid.ch\/who-we-are\/transparency\/2016-financial-statements\/"},"modified":"2025-07-08T17:32:30","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T15:32:30","slug":"annual-report-2016","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/actionaid.ch\/en\/who-we-are\/transparency\/annual-report-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual Report 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"vidiemme-block focused-content  \" >\n  \n  <div class=\"container-xl\">\n    <div class=\"focused\">\n\n            <div class=\"summary mb-3\">In 2016, over 6,500 people chose to support our programmes worldwide, to combat poverty and social exclusion, to provide a dignified life to marginalised and excluded people in the world&#8217;s poorest countries.<\/div>\n      \n            <div class=\"description\"><p><strong>The main results achieved at global level, divided by area of \u200b\u200bintervention, include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In response to emergencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>555,000 people<\/strong>\u00a0received humanitarian assistance in respect of their human rights;<\/li>\n<li><strong>30 emergencies and conflicts<\/strong>\u00a0in which ActionAid intervened to bring humanitarian aid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the rights of women:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>55,200 women<\/strong>\u00a0report more control over their income and greater negotiating power within their family.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the field of the right to education:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>468,000 people<\/strong>\u00a0gained greater awareness of the importance of the right to education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the subject of the right to food:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>101,300 women<\/strong>\u00a0have greater control over land and natural resources;<\/li>\n<li><strong>3,450 groups<\/strong>\u00a0of women acted to defend their property rights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For democratic participation and accountability:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>790 local governments<\/strong>\u00a0improved transparency, accountability and participation in their communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The biggest thanks goes to all our Swiss supporters and activists, who chose to fight by our side against poverty and social injustice, along with thousands of supporters and activists present in over 40 countries around the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n      \n      \n            <div class=\"attachments\">\n                  <div class=\"attachment mb-4\">   \n            <a href=\"https:\/\/actionaid.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Bilancio-2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">\n              <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-fluid me-1 icon-download\" src=\"https:\/\/actionaid.ch\/wp-content\/themes\/actionaid\/public\/build\/assets\/icon-download-hKxZcR7I.svg\" alt=\"Download file\">\n              \n              Budget 2016\n            <\/a>\n          <\/div>\n                  <div class=\"attachment mb-4\">   \n            <a href=\"https:\/\/actionaid.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Annual_ReportCH_2016-LQ.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">\n              <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-fluid me-1 icon-download\" src=\"https:\/\/actionaid.ch\/wp-content\/themes\/actionaid\/public\/build\/assets\/icon-download-hKxZcR7I.svg\" alt=\"Download file\">\n              \n              Annual Report 2016\n            <\/a>\n          <\/div>\n              <\/div>\n          \n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":1959,"menu_order":64,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-3429","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 -
