Your donation makes a real difference

  • In Krakor District, Cambodia, we plan to provide scholarships for female students who need to move to the mainland after primary school. The scholarship covers rent, transport, daily expenses and study materials.
  • In Dhaka, Bangladesh, we welcome around 60 girls who have experienced poverty, abandonment or violence into a safe place. We provide schooling, transport, materials, psychosocial support and vocational training. Some former residents have gone on to become nurses, doctors and lawyers.
  • In Quang Tri, Vietnam, we work with more than 30 rural secondary schools through coding clubs, STEM activities and gender-sensitive teaching. We help girls develop digital skills, confidence and career aspirations.

Frequently asked questions

Gift donations symbolically represent some of the work we carry out every day to protect women’s rights.

We use your contribution to deliver practical initiatives based on the project priorities identified by our local staff. Across the Federation, we allocate 70% of the funds raised to the countries and communities where we work. We use the remaining 30% for awareness-raising campaigns and to cover the organisation’s running costs.

After making your donation, you’ll receive an email from our team (sostenitori.ch@actionaid.org) with a link to download the gift card as a PDF (10 × 15 cm, also suitable for printing).

Yes! In many Swiss cantons, donations to ActionAid can be deducted from your tax return. Every year, we’ll send you a certificate that you can use for this purpose.
