ActionAid has been present in the Occupied Palestinian Territories since 2007.
According to UN data, between 50,000 and 80,000 people have been forcibly displaced from their homes in the last two years. More than 800,000 people have no access to drinking water and electricity is only available for a few hours a day. Hospitals are collapsing, lacking fuel and energy, unable to meet basic needs.
ActionAid, supported by local partners, is present in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah to provide food, hygiene kits, blankets and psychological support. Today we strongly demand:
- an immediate and permanent ceasefire;
- an end to the supply of weapons and ammunition;
- access for humanitarian aid throughout Gaza.
