This year’s Annual Report reflects our unwavering commitment to tackling social exclusion and poverty, pursuing climate justice, and defending human rights. We will continue working towards the fair redistribution of resources and the development of a more resilient civil society through to 2028. These objectives are at the heart of our mission and will guide our efforts in the years ahead.

In 2024, ActionAid strengthened its presence in Switzerland, building new partnerships with philanthropic organisations and supporting projects in countries such as The Gambia, Jordan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. At the same time, we expanded our base of supporters and carried out fundraising and awareness campaigns, with a particular focus on gender equality and the fight against violence against women.

The Fight For Women campaign was at the core of our public engagement, highlighting the urgent need for structural change to end all forms of discrimination and gender-based violence. We also placed young people at the centre of our work, supporting them as drivers of change through training, active participation, and pathways that offer alternatives to forced migration.

This Social Report reflects the outcomes of this collective commitment and the change that becomes possible when institutions, communities, activists, and citizens join forces. A result made possible also thanks to our 6,043 donors, the Foundations that continue to place their trust in us, and those that have initiated new collaborations.
