Annual Report 2023

This year’s Annual Report reflects our unwavering commitment to tackling social exclusion and poverty, pursuing climate justice, and defending human rights. We will continue working towards the fair redistribution of resources and the development of a more resilient civil society through to 2028. These objectives are at the heart of our mission and will guide our efforts in the years ahead.

Over the past year, ActionAid has remained fully committed to fight violence against women, prevent child marriage and female genital mutilation, and promote women’s empowerment and leadership.

Through our programmes, we have reached thousands of women and girls, providing them with protection and support, but also with concrete opportunities to build a better future. In particular, we have worked tirelessly to ensure that girls could access education, knowing that education is a powerful tool for emancipation and progress. Furthermore, we have supported the rehabilitation and social reintegration of women who have survived violence, such as acid attacks, equipping them with the resources they need to rebuild their lives.

All of this has been possible also thanks to the invaluable contribution of more than 6,400 supporters in Switzerland, who chose to promote our cause and renewed their trust in ActionAid by continuing to support our projects alongside the most vulnerable communities.
