- In Dalaba, in The Gambia’s Central River Region, we trained more than 400 women facing difficult circumstances in poultry and small-ruminant farming. We provided start-up funding to help them launch their agricultural activities, as well as training in financial management.
- In Jorayal, in Nepal’s Doti District, we train women to harvest and process allo fibre: stripping, spinning, dyeing and weaving. We provide machinery and connect the groups with markets, helping them turn a local resource into income.
- In Koulikoro and Dioïla, Mali, we are training 80 women from rural cooperatives in shea processing and the safe use of machinery. We support them to improve product quality, obtain certification and access markets. In Bamako, we are also training 120 young people aged 15 to 24, half of them women, through two training cycles on shea processing and renewable energy, combining technical and practical instruction.

Gift donations symbolically represent some of the work we carry out every day to protect women’s rights.
We use your contribution to deliver practical initiatives based on the project priorities identified by our local staff. Across the Federation, we allocate 70% of the funds raised to the countries and communities where we work. We use the remaining 30% for awareness-raising campaigns and to cover the organisation’s running costs.

Yes! In many Swiss cantons, donations to ActionAid can be deducted from your tax return. Every year, we’ll send you a certificate that you can use for this purpose.
